I've been buying my Kamik boots for the last few seasons and they never disappoint. They are light and warm with good traction on the sole. This is the first time I've bought it with lacing. We usually choose slip-ons with velcro at the base. They should be tight and laced up to keep snow out when playing in deep snow. This is easy to do with bungee cord lace but a bit difficult for my 6 year old. However, if you're wearing winter pants with storm cuffs over your boots, that's no problem.
