Transcend 4GB Class 6 SDHC TS4GSDHC6 for use with 550D/T2i

First I use these SDHC cards with a Canon DSLR - 720/1080 images and videos. I have a Transcend 8GB SDHC Class 10 and a Sandisk Extreme III 4GB Class 6 before purchasing this 4GB Transc. Class 6 SDHC card. I had a Sandisk Extreme before Transcend cards and it worked great. I bought a Transcend 8GB a few weeks ago because it was a class 10 for about $17 (not the best deal but I needed more storage). And so it went well and I didn't notice much of a difference between the Transcend cards and the Sandisk. But after buying this 4GB card and trying to capture HD video, I realized how much better the sandisk card is. Transcend cards are great for taking photos, but my SLR camera freezes video because Transcend cards can't write fast enough. Sandisk has a read/write speed of 20Mbps, which I think is pretty close to real read/write speeds. Speed. The Transcend 8GB on the card says 20Mbps, but that's far from the mark. there is a forum on slickdeals where everyone is talking about whether the card is actually 10 or 12. (that's where I was mentioned) now the 4gb transcend is only class 6 so it's definitely a lot slower and I can definitely say it's slower to actually train. The only reason I bought it was because I was told class 6 cards are good for HD video recording. I think that's probably the case, but only with top brands like Sandisk. Pros: Lots of room for a cheap Cons: not so truthful about actual read/write speeds. Much slower than my other SDHC brands. That being said, I'll probably continue to buy Transcend cards for photo (not video) use as I've never had a problem with them in that area. But my next few SDHC cards will be Sandisk Class 6 or higher because Transcend Class 10 cards aren't even fast enough to capture HD video on my DSLR.
