8GB is good for PowerShot cameras, 16GB is limited

Apparently Revain doesn't allow separate ratings for 8GB and 16GB cards, so this is a combined rating for both cards. I first bought these cards for my Canon PowerShot SX10 and am now using them in my SX40. . They have always worked reliably for me and have never let me down. The only card errors I saw were related to camera issues, not a card error. I regularly reformat them after transferring pictures to a backup computer, which can happen every few weeks or months. Neither card works in my…

    Excellent performance, reliable compatibility

I bought this Class 6 SDHC card for my new Canon G9 about 4 months ago because I needed a high speed SDHC card for my new camera. Since I've had it, I've swapped it between the Canon G9 and my SD800 depending on whether I was going to a point and shoot event or if I could hang the G9 around my neck and use it. Performance has been great so far, I've been bursting for 45 seconds with my G9 (10MP camera) before the wedding and the card records it all with no issues and lets me just hold the…

    Transcend 4GB Class 6 SDHC TS4GSDHC6 Use with 550D/T2i

First of all I use these SDHC cards with Canon DSLR - Photo and Video 720/1080. I have a Transcend 8GB SDHC Class 10 and a Sandisk Extreme III 4GB Class 6 before purchasing this 4GB Transc. Class 6 SDHC card. I had a Sandisk Extreme before Transcend cards and it worked great. I bought a Transcend 8GB a few weeks ago because it was a class 10 for about $17 (not the best deal but I needed more storage). And so it went well and I didn't notice much of a difference between the Transcend cards and…

IT WORKS as confirmed by over 2,000 reviewers.

I can't believe almost 3,000 people rated this simple memory card. In fact, I can't believe I'm referencing all of these reviews, which makes me question my own sanity. I'll add this though since it's possible the other 3000 reviewers missed this important point ha. A class 6 card is faster than a class 2 or 4 card, but not as fast as a class 10 card My new Nikon COOLPIX L120 camera would probably work fine with a class 4 card, but I've settled on a class 6 card to be on the safe side. A class…

    Best SD Memory Card

This is Transcend's premium 16GB SD flash card. I use this. Larger SD cards to store my photos and music depending on how my day is. I have been using Transcend SD memory cards for many years and have never had a problem with them. I have never lost data from a corrupted one. Actually, I'm pretty tough on these things. I carry them in my bag when taking pictures and have never messed them up. They are very durable and will last a lifetime. I just took more with some of my electronics. The…

An epic failure indeed. fits memory cards

Yes, I'm one of those chumps who didn't pay attention to the one star ratings on this product. I wanted to save a few euros. I bought this Transcend SDHC card for a Fuji HS10 camera and took several hundred photos with it. I really wanted to test it. It worked fine. For some time. Then, at the conference, after I took about 300 photos, mostly slide presentations, I had a serious breakdown. I accidentally pressed the video capture button on the camera, so I decided to delete this unwanted video.

Slower than most Class 6 cards, but cheap

I have many Transcend Class 6 cards, as well as about a dozen cards from other companies. Interestingly, the actual speeds of Transcend Class 6 cards vary widely. For example, I have two identical Class 6 8GB cards bought about 6 months apart. The old card (running ATTO-DISK, the same software used by some professional reviewers) is about 50% faster than the new one. This 16GB card is slower than both of my 8GB Transcend cards. It's actually the slowest class 6 card I've ever had. Most Class 6…
