I have come to the conclusion that there are always one of two problems with filtration systems. the exit is slower than I could believe. But this guy is the case. I had a faucet cleaning filter before and the Apex was twice as easy to set up, doesn't leak and I have yet to discover charcoal dust in my water (my Pur filter failed all three). Just screw on the part that fits your faucet and bam! And it fills my 116-ounce jug in about 25 seconds (very fast compared to other filters). It came already assembled and ready to go. Of course, you need to run it for at least 5 minutes to activate the filter and drain the initial free content of the filter - which must be done for all filters - but after that you're worth your weight in gold. The only complaint I have is that the smell takes a little getting used to, but I know why. It puts much-needed minerals back into the water, so you're really getting the benefit of what you're drinking. By the second day we got used to it and my family and I are very thankful that Apex saved us from the hard water we live in.
