Great addition to my truck hat!

Instead of using them on the truck body itself, I attached them to the ceiling of my truck lid. They give off a very bright light and I am very happy with them. Installation: The kit comes with everything you need, down to your 12v power supply and maybe a bit of cable management. To fit the cap I also needed to power my third brake light and make it easier to remove the cap from the truck I bought some waterproof 3 wire/pin connectors. All lights have a common ground and brake light output, and these lights are separate. Physical Properties: The installation of the lights was easy and very secure with the self-adhesive backing. After installation, the temperature in the lid reached over 100 degrees Fahrenheit for days and they got stuck. My setup left me with lots of extra wires for each of the light strips, which I just taped to the ceiling with some sort of gorilla. Ribbon. Electrical: The hardest part of this build was finding the right wires under the truck bed to hook them up. RAM offers a blunt brake light wire that plugs in and turns on right away, and they also include 12-volt wires or ignition-based blunt wires, but require a wire harness to activate them. and ran the wiring through the side of the bed and soldered everything together. It would be easier to solder with heat shrink tubing and just be able to use a lighter to make a good watertight connection. If you have easy access to a 12V power supply and the right tools, it's no big deal. Conclusion: The installation effort is absolutely worth it. There's a lot more light in bed, which is especially useful when the bed is full of random things and you need to find something in the dark. The built in lights at the back of the bed are not sufficient and when the cover is on the lights at the back of the cab do nothing. Also, these lights are temporary and can be turned on for longer use. (photos will be)
