The surge protector is durable and white. I like that when the outlet is not in use, the gray covers protect and cover the opening. I'm not using all of the holes at the moment, so I'll cover up the unused end caps. I feel safer because they are protected. They just slide up and down easily, so there's no safety feature as such. I would say the lids are more for dust protection than childproofing. Each outlet is grounded with a surge protector. The on/off toggle switch is easy to use and has a reset and an off button. The 1.8m cable is extra thick for extra insulation and protection. I tested all plugs and they all work. The combination of white and dark gray surge protector is a good combination, it looks elegant and clean.
