Review on ๐Ÿš™ Rough Country 2.5" Lift Kit for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK - Series II Suspension System by Greg Bellman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Final score 4, generally happy with the results.

I'm hesitating between 3 and 4 stars. Overall grade - 4, Instructions and DIY - 2, Quality of parts - 3. The spacers themselves appear to be quality, the calipers and stabilizer link are minimalistic at best. I was surprised that the links don't have a ball joint to improve flex and limit future squeaks. Brake extensions are good for the rear but could use some real engineering for the front. The instructions were pretty rough, glad they made some videos and although more effort and detail could have been put in. They gave me enough information and tips to do it. Luckily there are many videos of JK getting up on YouTube, so everything is settled. A percussion gun to attach the rear spacer made this much easier, using hand tools continued to turn the washer/nut. The impact helped him seat quickly and tighten the torque. I've been doing engine work, changing heads, changing timing chains, etc. and this has tested my patience! The end result is impressive so it was worth it and I didn't even bleed to death! Lol ha ha. Oh the jeep is almost perfectly level! No more rakes and braking feels more controlled. I switched to red Rubicon dampers and medium springs at the same time. It now stands 39 inches off the ground all around to the standard fender. My factory springs were the softest and the rear shocks were bad at 7k! That's what's uplifting now, why change shocks when you can upgrade. in the end i'm happy with it.
