They are useless because they are too short.

I'm 5'11 and they (largest size available, XXL) are mid-calf. Don't lie down as this is more difficult. This soft thing slides down all the time. If it were 3-4 inches taller it would reach over the shins and not slide down when tied there. I can't help but slide down. To be honest I have no idea what people use them for, they just aren't big enough. Upgrade her to below knee height and I'll give her 4-5 stars. With half a calf height, firstly, it is useless, and secondly, do not go to bed.
