These relay switches work well once you figure them out, but the instructions are really, really terrible. I smoked one of the two I bought because I didn't know that the outputs are hot. I thought that they were just relay contacts, and so I put power to one side of each channel output and it instantly let out the magic smoke.I learned after much messing around is you have to add the device manually in the app - I could not get it to find the device by itself. I chose Electrical->power strip (WIFI), then it worked. You have to press the button on the device twice, once for >5 seconds, then again for >5 seconds. Then the app was able to find it (you have to hop on the device's WIFI network). And (this is important) the outputs are hot when the switch is on. No mention of this in the instructions, a clear safety (possible electrocution) problem. The blacks are common, the reds are outputs of each switch. Once I got it working, it does work well. But I wasted one because the instructions were trash.
