Good gadget for app control of lights

I put this switch in a 4-foot fluorescent light fixture in my carport that I have converted to LED. Installation was simple although I did have to strip the wires more because the stripped portions were too short for my application. I got it connected to my Wi-Fi and added to my Smart Life account along with my several other Smart Life/Tuya compatible devices. Now I can control my carport light via my phone.

East to install and set up with alexa

The cable connectors that come with the unit make it very easy to install. It only took me a minute to link it to Alexa. I use it as a timer for my outdoor garage lights and it has worked without any problems.

They work well once you figure them out (slightly dangerous)

These relay switches work well once you figure them out, but the instructions are really, really terrible. I smoked one of the two I bought because I didn't know that the outputs are hot. I thought that they were just relay contacts, and so I put power to one side of each channel output and it instantly let out the magic smoke.I learned after much messing around is you have to add the device manually in the app - I could not get it to find the device by itself. I chose Electrical->power strip…

I like the concept.

I really like how I can split one switch to control two lights or outlets wirelessly and I can connect it to the Tuya App which I am already using. So far so good.
