Edited: 11/13/2020: This item is AMAZING. I've had this since May. It has been used A LOT. I mean A LOT. Between me and the baby unit, this sharpener is used frequently and daily. Not only does it hold up exceptionally well with all types of pencils (metal colored pencils are welcome!), I loaded it up for the FIRST TIME yesterday! This charge lasts 6 months, folks. 6 months! Did I mention it's used a lot? I would like to give 10 stars. Pleases. Bye, wow! I just received it and it was very easy to set up. The instructions are clear. Start sharpening pencils right away: Standard #2, Prismas, Polychromos, Derwent Coloursoft and Artists, Black Widow Sets, Artezas and more (I love colored pencils). This allows you to sharpen any pencil to an amazing degree. It stops automatically when it hits the perfect point and I'm still completely intrigued. I agree with another reviewer who noted that there isn't much of a difference between the settings. I've tried all three and they all seem about the same. Not enough to reset stars. I will update this review if there are any issues with this item. However, this is the best sharpener I've ever tried and I've tried A LOT. I hope it's as strong as it looks! Still worth a few bucks more for a quality electric sharpener. ☺
