Review on CLOUDPLATE T2 Rack Mount Fan 1U - Top Exhaust Airflow for AV, Home Theater, and Network 19” Racks Cooling by Luis Baker

Replaced an absurdly noisy 1U 4-fan rack mount fan to cool our multi-camera outdoor NVR and 2 8TB HDDs in this system. The room temperature can reach 100 degrees and the NOISE of the old fans was annoying but they worked. Eventually I decided to replace it with this 1U Temperature Controlled Top Exhaust Unit and it's amazing. Easy installation. Mounts directly above the DVR in a small 6U open wall rack. Below that is a quad-fan laptop cooler that supports the NVR on one of those 1U hardware bays. Together, even on the hottest days, the system remains within acceptable limits - about 85 degrees. If the room temperature falls below the set threshold, the device goes into standby mode. The noise level is low enough to be almost imperceptible. Well built and professional. Again, this is a top-of-the-line exhaust model that definitely extracts heat from the NVR. Highly recommended.
