I bought this for my mother, it's her first cordless phone and she is not tech savvy. She likes the phone, especially the call barring button. She LOVES this feature. It was pretty easy for her to set up and I was able to explain to her over the phone how to use the other special features (we live in different states). The caller ID display and buttons are easy to see, and she had no complaints about the ringer volume. I can hear her clearly when we talk, she says I can be heard from her side too. When she puts me on speakerphone to say hello to her neighbor, I can't even put my finger on what I'm really talking about - super clear. It's been a month and so far no problems with it. She loves her new wireless freedom. Now if only I can persuade her to buy a smartphone.
