WE HAVE NEW DOG FOOD!

About 6 months ago we adopted a 3 year old pit bull. We fed her Science Diet canned and dry because we could get her from our vet. Due to our location, there is only one grocery store here and the supply of dog food is limited. We had to take a trip into the 'town' and I found I didn't pack enough canned food for our baby for the time being. So I ran to HEB and just got my Purina One Beef and Brown Rice because honestly I was hungry and it sounded good to me! (No, I didn't eat anything.) When I opened the jar, it smelled so good, and our dog's nose sniffed so hard it almost trembled. I taught her to wait for the food until she got the signal to eat, so as soon as I put down the bowl of food I gave her the signal because it was cruel to make her wait too long for something which she obviously thought. smelled so good. She didn't like canned food from Science Diet. I was impressed with the ingredient list, so we decided to swap out their canned food for Purina One beef and brown rice. She still freaks out when she sees the jar and we mix it with kibble twice a day. We'll probably try a small bag of dry mix if we run out of the science dry diet. But this time I want to read the ingredients list FIRST before I buy. I love the fact that Purina is made in the USA and I'm sure it's not made from the finest cut of cow. I'm not that naive. But the taste and appearance of this food looks like good quality food. The signal to eat has spread since the first feeding. But it's in the subscribe-and-save section at the moment, so we know she won't go out and we'll feed her until she gets tired. But I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.
