Review on Black Sennheiser 507081 GSP 350 PC Gaming Headset with Surround Sound for Consumers by Anastazja Adamczyk ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I'm not particularly happy, but basically everything is fine.

More than two years have passed since I became the owner of the first version of this product (non-removable cable and 150 ohm). In summary, I can say the following: The filling, namely the speakers themselves are very good. As well as a convenient design. But are they worth 11 (for me 13) thousand - no. If we are considering games and voip clients, then for them you can take anything in the range of 5-7 thousand without any sound cards, etc. - the sound quality will be enough for you. But if you still decide to take these headphones for some reason of your own, then by no means buy the 150th (although they were removed from sale, they could remain with retailers). This is immediately minus the reliability in the form of a non-detachable cable and high performance, which will put a spoke in your wheels at tournaments or any lan events where ordinary $1 realtek are on cheap motherboards. In them you will hear everything as if through the most Bichovsky, Chinese mp3 player. Yes, smart people will say that for 150 ohms you can buy an external sound system with an amplifier for headphones and go wherever you want and don’t worry. But it's still + and so to a considerable cost. How cost-effective is this? To play dota or cs with a team, where the sound is recorded through a tape recorder on a cassette and then digitized (I can’t find another explanation for this quality) any headset is enough for about 5 For reference, soundinfo from csgo is bits/sample:16; Rate 44100. Most likely the same in DotA. Also, be prepared to change your ear pads every year and clean them every day if you sit continuously for more than 3 hours a day. In general, good headphones with serious flaws. They have a place to be, but their maximum price is 8 thousand. Not more. For gaming, you should definitely try headphones with 7.1 sound (not virtual). I think the positioning in such will be much better, and the quality . it is not so important with such a mediocre source. The main thing is that the implementation in games is normal. But the stereo is still more for music . whatever one may say.

Pros
  • - Excellent speakers (considering the sound in games and in voice clients - redundant) - Foldable design. It is very convenient to go to tournaments, because they take up little space in the backpack. - Thoughtful design. Even after long hours of play, you don't feel any pressure or fatigue. - Good isolation (as long as the ear pads are intact) - Convenient volume control on the right ear. - Switch off/on by lowering and raising the microphone.
Cons
  • -The cable is not detachable (150 ohm version). In headphones for 13k!? Which, in addition to everything, is bent in two places and no longer unbends. It does not affect the sound in any way, but it still affects my aesthetic and pragmatic feelings. - Wiring and insulation inside to hell. With the microphone amplifier turned on (so that you can be heard normally and with high quality in teamspeak or somewhere else), any rustle or the slightest grazing of the cable - everything goes into other people's ears. No matter how I adjust the thresholds or volume. It is almost impossible to set up so that you do not have to scream, or hear rustling or hear music from the same headphones. Without amplification, any rubbing of the cable is also reflected in the sound source, but not as intensely. - Boost noise reduction does not work. The dog barks at the front door and can be heard behind the closed door of the room + the whole corridor. Without amplification, of course, it’s better, but if a person is nearby talking behind his back, then your interlocutors will hear. - My favorite ear pads (sarcasm). For such a price, they did not bother to fit them with real leather. And they offer to buy this slag for another 1200r ~, which, with daily gaming and cleaning (ears sweat in closed headphones), turn into leatherette after 1 year. - 150 ohm. If I knew that high-impedance headphones without an amplifier sound like Chinese junk, I would never buy them for gaming and voip clients. Of course, I bought the cheapest sound with an amp for headphones - xonar dgx and the sound immediately appeared. But a friend has a plug-in from a top-end mother and the same ears, only on the 50th and the sound in them was quite decent and did not differ much from mine (the plug also has an amp, only weaker) - The volume control fell off after 2 years. It is the plastic part of the regulator, which is covered in hardened glue. The controller itself is working properly. In any case, no comment. It is better not to break, otherwise no one will send you spare parts. Only to the service center. - The microphone also does not come unfastened.
