Need localization!?

Recommended application requires localization. Why do you need it, WiFi of course, ok. but worried about the localization. especially if you are connecting directly to the device and not setting it up for a network connection. The device itself seems solid, but it only works with RGB or warm white LED at the same time, it doesn't want to support both (found a redesigned script to send socket commands to the device instead of going to the app like me I don't care about leaving), but I'm not sure if this "feature" was meant to prevent damage to the LED strip to prevent current from flowing through it that could damage the device. All I know is that this device doesn't allow it (or at least I can't get it to work at the same time). I am testing/running functions with a 5m 5050 60RGB and 60WW LED strip so the LEDs for my strip are separate. and I think the strip can be run with both working kits. We continue. With the included IR remote control, you can only adjust the RGB color, even if white is selected, it only mixes the RGB; It would be nice if I could adjust the warm white set via IR remote control. The device claims to be able to accept 12-24 VDC but I doubt this box has a built in buck converter/regulator for the LED strip itself so I would only venture out to supply a voltage that goes to the LED strip that you have (otherwise in this case I would assume there should be a switch to select the voltage of the LED strip). I haven't loaded the device heavily yet; I have plans for a device to run two bands simultaneously (wattage calculations and design suggest this is legit). This device is rated at 140W maximum, so use a fuse to avoid damaging the device/bulbs. Revain has a "glue" section here, my purchased controller didn't come with a pad/method to "glue" this controller to anything, which is fine, I would have preferred a clamp to tape (the device is very light and the tape can be good, just a preference) Revain has a "Brightness" section here, this is the controller. My guess is that the basic design is a series of MOSFETs to control the flow to the LED elements. So I didn't rate the range as "brightness" would come from the power supply rather than the controller. UPDATE I have now used this to control two lanes at once as above. The controller can/performs this action accordingly.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Volume
