Excellent Modified Sine Wave Inverter

I purchased a 2000W version of this inverter for use in my off-grid home in northern Maine. It matches my 520 watt solar panels and 12 volt 460 Ah AGM battery and has so far met all my expectations. Typical cab loads consist of 5-6 LED light bulbs, a water pump and a Keurig coffee maker. We also use it to charge Ryobi phones and cordless tools. This device handles Keurig with no issues. The benefit of this inverter is that it appears to run relatively cool and the fan only comes on when 4-5 bulbs are on for a couple of hours or when the Keurig is running. The included cables are decent, but if you're using a heavy load like the Keurig, consider upgrading as the 2-gauge cables max out at around 1500W. (125 amps at 12 volts) There are a few things I don't like about the unit, but these are pretty minor issues. First, the inverter backlight is always on. This consumes energy unnecessarily and generates quite a lot of light in a small cabin at night. Another problem I've encountered is related to the current and voltage meter on the device itself. Neither seems correct. The voltmeter tends to be high. If the battery voltage is 12.9 volts, the meter on the inverter will show 13.1-13.2. It doesn't matter because I'm monitoring the batteries with another monitor, but it may be confusing for some. Another problem is the built-in wattmeter. I can connect 3 LEDs to it and it still reads 0 watts. It doesn't actually show a power meter until it exceeds 30 watts, which could just be a feature? Those issues weren't enough for me to rate it as it appears to deliver very clean power and can run high power devices with ease.
