These are really great sweatshirts! They are well built. The fact that they turn into stuffed animals is adorable. My little one sleeps with Mr. Fox every night and wears it during the day. Our 8 year old wears it to school all the time! They don't stretch and are slightly shorter and slightly smaller. I would go one size bigger to be safe. My 3 year old girl is tall. She wears 4T/5 and 4/5 fits her. My son is 8 and a size 8/9 was too small so I bought him a 10 which fits well and gives him some room to grow. These are great as a gift or just to take away for your kids. They are medium thickness for a sweatshirt. I wouldn't call them easy or hard.
