I'll start by saying that this case is NOT designed for a typical portable HD! The name says it's a MINI HD portable as sold by the same Orico company that makes it. I have a thin Seagate HD, which is still too big for this case, but Orico sells another one that fits perfectly. It's a really tiny case that's great for storing small items like flash drives, SD cards, batteries, and small data cables. It's not obscured by a bulky wall adapter and data cable, with the exception of the iPhone wall adapter. It was the only one I could close with a cable. This suitcase is good for traveling light. You can throw it in a small bag or box.
