Review on Navigation 360 S8 Multi Floor Compatible by Michelle Chopra

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really chic, well fitting, great value for money.

I have tested both (S8) and S5 vacuums at home to make sure these vacuums would make good gifts for my 91 year old grandfather. Both devices went through an indoor obstacle course that other smaller "smart" vacuums couldn't handle. He worked on shag pile carpets, tile, slippery bathroom rugs, flexible rugs and general clutter. Never has a car got stuck or lost in my home environment. His avoidance of obstacles seemed great. I tested it with discarded laundry and didn't seem to have any issues. The vacuum could even run around the bathroom with bathmats that I knew would slip and never lost its grip or got stuck. Restricted zones and invisible walls work fine, no signs of her space being violated when I ran it. The application works, there are language packs for the vacuum in Spanish, Korean, Italian, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Chinese and English. Its semi-detailed device warns when it starts, stops, charges, needs to be charged, completes charging, when the pod is removed/replaced, and presumably something when it gets stuck. It would be nice if the voice speaker could be louder, but that's a small issue. The "map" part of the application works well, you can divide it into rooms and set how much power you want in each room as well as order cleaning. It is possible to create scheduled cleanings for both the whole house and rooms. There's some magic in the multistory building options, but it's not relevant to me yet, and I'm not sure I want to mess with it at all. The app has a function to find the robot, control it in RC mode and move it remotely (the vacuum cleaner can work in this mode, but it's damn hard to control it). -50 minutes on a standard high suction cycle. charge a little, but that's ok. When completing tasks, it will discharge to 20% and then charge to 80% before continuing work, which is good for the device's battery health. On a positive note, the device does a great job of returning to charging and going back to where it left off when charging is complete. The trash can is easy to remove and easy to clean. It doesn't look like there will be a "leak" issue, there is some sort of rubber or silicone around the seal to open and close the bin to empty it. There is a small hepa filter in the bin, although I can't tell you if it's effective or not. The device has a smart and easy-to-remove rotating brush that can be easily cleaned of all hair. It seems the device was designed with the understanding that hair inevitably ends up in certain places and that it should be easy to maintain. Use of a mop as over 80% of the area is carpeted. If I ever drag somewhere I need to swipe, this will update. Overall the device was fantastic. The only issue I have overall is that the dock is a little light and can be knocked over and moved by a machine, at least when it's on carpet. Later I might consider adding a weight to it so the vacuum doesn't slowly move the dock from its intended position.
