Amazingly efficient lighting system at such a low price. The LED strips are not covered by a plastic disc, but a 12 volt system doesn't need one. Minimal instructions provided but it's all plug and play. The included rocker switch is small enough to be hidden under the front rail of the cabinet, so I probably didn't have to pay an electrician to install a wall switch to control the outlet the transformer is plugged into. The self-adhesive plastic wire clamps started coming loose after a few days, but I only installed the screws that came with them. My wife has poor eyesight so we looked at the color options for the lighting but ended up buying warm white and the color and brightness are perfect.
