As the owner of many different knee pads I can honestly say this is the best! It arrives crushed in a plastic bag but takes shape once opened. I use it for my Kindle, iPad, books, notepads and iPhone. The sides are different; one side slopes slightly further back than the other, straighter side. I end up using the less sloping side. Grooves prevent your items from slipping. There's even a pocket for a phone. It's very easy. Easy to balance on your knees or knees in bed. I'm so glad I found this.
