I bought this knowing it would wear out and break again in the not too distant future. Serves its purpose just like the original. Unfortunately, poor design causes the bearing sleeve to slide up, allowing the drive gear to press against the main body of the case under the floor. You can press it with a LIGHT tap of a hammer by placing the main part of the body on a cup/glass/mug (allowing the drive hook wheel to hang freely), but the plastic body will break over time, so DO NOT wash it in the dishwasher and do not allow hot soapy water to get into the blender jar. The soapy water will eventually seep out and wash the grease out of the bearing, accelerating wear.
