This was a very nice modern minimalist lamp for the base of our stairs to the basement. It replaced the terrible bald blinding wavy bald light bulb and really created a new atmosphere. The light was very easy to install using the existing ceiling box insert. No modifications are required at all. The wires are European, which is brown to American black and blue to American white. Direct wire to ground wire. Dead easy! This light has excellent LED lighting that is not overwhelming or blinding. Perfect for the use we put it in. Very happy with the light, the very Scandinavian aesthetic and the ease of installation.
