Great for garlands
I used a staple gun to attach this to my porch ceiling. Very easy to make and the light effect is beautiful. It has about 8-9 feet of regular wire so you don't have a string of lights hanging on the wall. Remote control works, multiple blinking, blinking and fading options if you need it. It's too early to talk about longevity or weather resistance.
