My bathroom has suffered from black mold from excessive humidity for years. Small dots appeared on the tops of the walls shortly after I scraped or painted them, then bloomed into larger rosettes over the course of a few weeks. We tried spraying them with bleach, we cleaned them regularly and they went away only to reappear a few weeks later. We tried leaving the door open to let some moisture out but that meant less privacy. In summer we opened the window and it helped, but in winter it was too cold. Then I stumbled across this car while on vacation at my sister-in-law's and the decision was clear. I'm one of those people who obsessively research a large purchase like this before making it. I don't spend money on something that later turns out to be useless, so I read reviews and comparisons and looked at a few items in stores. I finally bought this car and it's amazing. It works efficiently and is easy to use. I empty it about once a week and clean the filter once a month on average. I am very satisfied - if you are looking for a good dehumidifier with excellent customer support look no further. it's free. The replacement has been working for almost a year with no problems - conscientiously sucking moisture out of the air and drying out my steam room. Best of all - ZERO black mold. I love this device and highly recommend both the device and the brand. UPDATE 7/6/20: This little beast is still going strong. In winter it sucks the moisture out of the bathroom, in summer it goes into the basement. Works 25/7/365 with no complaints and lags. Pretty economical to run. Would recommend and buy again when the time comes.
