Review on 🔋 Traxxas 2970 EZ-Peak Plus 4-Amp NiMH/LiPo Fast Charger with iD Auto Battery Recognition by Richard Muncy

I have used this charger 3 times so far with my Traxxas 10,000mAh 2s LIPO battery that I use for my Stampede 4x4 VXL. It worked as expected and charged the battery quickly and efficiently. The first thing I had to do with the charger out of the box was to put it into LIPO mode by plugging in the battery and pressing the select button until the LED light changed from red to green. I left all other settings alone and haven't tried them out yet, such as the fast load and save settings. Then, to charge the battery, I just press and hold the glowing blue "Start” button for a few seconds and the LED on the device will light up, indicating that charging has started. Even after I started my RC until the low voltage cut off kicked in to stop driving, it took just over an hour to fully charge the battery. Once fully charged, my battery gives me a good solid 45 minutes, if not more, of almost continuous runtime. It was located in a nearby flat grassy park where the original equipment was installed. While charging, I can hear the fan running inside and definitely smell the electronics running. Therefore, it is better to charge in a well-ventilated area. I also store my battery in a Colcase explosion proof case when charging or not in use. While the battery cables are too short for the bag to stand upright while charging, it's good that it has double zips, so I just zip it up so the battery cables stick out at the front and connect to the charger. Another thing to mention is that a few times when I connected the battery to the charger, the charger's red light was flashing and I thought I had a bad battery or the charger was broken. Not at all. I just disconnected and reconnected the battery. The connection was a bit loose as I hadn't pushed it in hard enough. Now I know I have to make sure it's comfortable every time. That's all. Although it's an expensive charger, I think it's worth it to fully charge the battery in a short amount of time. Also, the device is small enough that I can stuff it in my screwdriver carrying case or take it with me on a walk. I definitely recommend this one.
