Most people know how sharp X-Acto Blades are and that they are so sharp that great care must be taken when using them as they will penetrate your skin and will cut you very easily . Well, as hard as it may be to believe, these new gold compounds are even sharper and are said to have a longer lifespan. I use mine now to trim photo prints with a steel ruler for a clean edge and even when cutting thick coated paper for printing these blades go through them like clockwork. Also, part of the trick is making sure you get a pen that you're comfortable with. Simple cylindrical models (classic model) don't really work for me (no pun intended) because I can't get the pressure and direction right. But when paired with one of their thicker, rubberized grips with finger grip curves, they make a great combo. Five stars.,
