Review on 9 Ounce Mini Casserole Dish: Enameled Red Cast Iron Mini Cocotte for Baking, Braising, or Roasting by Michele Denzer

Please note when purchasing that most Dutch Ovens of this size (only 8 oz!) are made of pure porcelain/ceramic. You rarely find one like this: an 8-ounce Dutch oven made of enamelled cast iron. Enamelled cast iron is a whole new level. I have both types and can say that cast iron retains a lot more heat - how you use that heat is up to you. To be honest the quality of this product is no worse than any other brand. No aberrations, no chips, no odd edges, no change after baking at 450+ F. The price isn't exactly cheap, but this product isn't expensive either. I bought 4 for my home and am happy with the purchase.
