This is the best USB Mini-B cable I have and if you need one I recommend it. There are actually two different length cables in the package, but when I bought it I only needed a short one. Since then I've used a 6.6 foot cable. Both cables work great for connecting an old external hard drive to two different laptops. The Mini B end snaps into my hard drive with more force than the cable it replaced, although it's certainly not as tight as the old Monster Cable RCA connectors. The connector bodies are aluminum rather than plastic, and the strain relief is longer than many others I've seen. The cable's braided jacket is strong and flexible. For me it was a great purchase for the price I paid. I assume these cables will outlast the life of the hard drive they are connected to.
