Purchased this item 23/10/2020 Now 28/01/2021 I have had this item for about 3 months. I used it on 9 hour mode about 3 times a week. Now it doesn't work anymore. It "still turns on" (lights up and timing indicators light up). BUT it doesn't get hot anymore. I noticed that it was on for several hours and the wax didn't melt. Touched the device, completely cold. I thought that the heating of this ceramic heating element would be more durable. I have heating pads still working on their first lightbulb a few months older than this one! Warm lightbulbs are so cheap. I'll stick with incandescent heaters. Lamps are probably safer. They just burn out in the glass bulb like regular old incandescent bulbs. This device uses a ceramic heating element, which is probably safe too. But why did it stop working so quickly? For example, I will never buy this again. I have no problem replacing a 50-cent lightbulb twice a year in my other heaters (and other heaters are $7-$20; it will be many years before 50-cent lightbulbs match the cost of those 40- dollar heater cover).
