Tupperware on steroids

I've been in restaurants for almost 46 years. These Cambro containers and lids are the best of the best. They're like Tupperware on steroids. But this time I bought them for my small apartment. I went with the real Cambro, not the competition. Although I have to say that each of the competing containers does a great job. But most people who know better will always go with the Cambro brand. The smaller Cambro bins don't have handles, which I don't need; because it takes up more space in my small apartment. the size of a compact fridge, although personally I prefer handles if I had a larger fridge or storage space. But 2qt. and 4kw. not necessary. 6kw. and do. In the hospitality industry you often have multiple sizes of containers from different manufacturers and not all lids will fit together, which is understandable as they want you to buy their own brand. But I admit that they all do their job perfectly. I personally prefer clear containers to frosted ones. They are much thicker and much stronger. I also like being able to see what's inside at a glance instead of having to keep the fridge door open for long periods of time. I'll admit that my colleagues and I, and dishwashers in particular at work, like working with other brands simply because all sizes have built-in handles that make them much easier to grip with one hand than to use. with both hands to get only one when they are stacked on top of each other and upside down on the shelf. A few years ago there was a brand that we liked because their lids were very easy to remove, especially when you were very busy at work, constantly opening and closing lids etc. The lids were very dark green for 2qt and 4qt. size container and red for 6qt. Container. And dark blue for large containers. But unlike the Cambro caps, they were flatter and squarer, rather than having rounded corners and rounded edges around the top of the cap(s), making them easier to remove. I can understand your frustration when the lid is difficult to open. Large Cambro bins have built-in handles, which is what you need, especially when you want to lift heavy things that are inside. But for a home that isn't as crowded as a restaurant, I always opt for Cambros with or without handles and clear ones, which are much nicer, thicker, and more durable than matte ones. Hope that helps. Thanks GK
