Our dishwasher is starting to leak due to a broken seal. It was very easy to fix, but because the leak was slow and hidden under the floor, it continued to drip for several weeks. We were lucky as the water only damaged a few planks of our engineered hardwood floors, but they were expensive and difficult to replace. The repair could have cost us $$$$. So I looked for one of them! Its size is perfect for the 24 inch gap and it was very easy to install. If the dishwasher leaks again in the future, the water will run onto the visible floor instead of hiding. To be clear, the value of this product lies in the fact that it prevents the problem from being covered up and thus avoids indirect losses! Why doesn't the code ask for this?
