80% better than the Magic Keyboard Case, $150 less

Overall, as far as my review title goes, I think this is a five star product. Before we focus on the pros, let's first discuss the cons and why it's 80% as good as Apple's case. 1) The first reason and the main reason is poor quality keys. I'm typing pretty well how I do when I write this review. The best comparison is that it's about 5-8 wpm slower/inaccurate than the Magic Keyboard Case. The keys are made of inferior plastic. 2) The iPad magnet works fine. Until you have to fiddle with the viewing angle, and then if you bend it at the wrong angle it will slide off the iPad, so be careful. With those two things out of the way, here are some things I like. :1) The main reason is that it looks and works almost the same as the Apple Magic Keyboard Case.* It attaches to the iPad in the same way, using magnets on the back of the iPad.* There are no extra cases, so if you want to detach the iPad and use it separately, it's just a standalone iPad, which I prefer as it's an iPad at its purest and lightest. When I need protection I use a case, and when I just want to use my iPad I don't need one.* For better or for worse, the angle at which you can use the iPad is the same (worse, it can't fully towards your face when using it near your lap). 2) The connection is via Bluetooth, which connects about 2-3 seconds later after the first pairing. Super quick and easy. Key lag is very minimal with little to no impact on typing. 3) RGB backlit keys. It's better than Apple's. 4) The body is very thick and durable. In order to balance with the iPad so it doesn't tip backwards when stationary, the keyboard half of the case needs to be heavy. This is a necessary compromise to work properly. So keep in mind that this is not an easy case. It weighs just under 700 grams, almost 100 grams heavier than Apple's.5) The case has its own internal battery, so it doesn't draw power from the iPad. I prefer it this way as it also charges via USB-C so you can charge both but not at the same time. This allows the keyboard to work for a very long time regardless of the iPad. 6) Last but not least, the price is much cheaper. At $200, it's still expensive, especially for an iPad keyboard case, many of which can be had for less than $100 and sometimes $50. However, at the time of writing this article, I have yet to see another case with the same form factor. So that's it, and at least $150 cheaper than Apple's. So, as I said, I consider this a 5-star product all in all and I recommend it. FYI I use it with my iPad Air and it works great. The only strange thing is that the hole for the camera is made for the Pro version, which is understandable, so it fits both models.
