An ideal product for any type of consumer.

As a staffer - an ideal option: both a wide angle and a portrait lens with good aperture and, in general, a pleasant to the touch, high-quality thing. Some pros: The model is great. At any aperture value, including 2.8, sharpness is excellent in all focal lengths. The design is of high quality, autofocus in any darkness works immediately and without misses. If, of course, blur is considered "miss" when trying to take a picture in the dark with a second shutter speed handheld, then that's…

The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

Good crop lens. Has some pros: Price + quality. Beautiful pictures. Aperture 2.8 is working, especially at the long end. Stabilizer, autofocus. Some cons: The color palette is slightly shifted towards the yellow-brown tint that is found on some multi-lens lenses. You can fix it during processing.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.

The best value for money. If you do not pay attention to minor flaws, then the lens is a worthy choice for many tasks: from landscapes to portraits. Some pros: HSM - very tenacious and fast, good color reproduction, lens hood + good case included (unlike greedy kenon), stub helps out, good for traveling. Its cons: It is impossible to bring the focus, it turns yellow (it can be solved by setting the BB), the stub is noisy.

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

With its pros: Cool lens! I bought it in December 2022 and I can’t get enough of it)) Fast aperture with beautiful bokeh! I work a lot in low light, it behaves perfectly! I have 60d. Fast autofocus! Some cons: a bit not harsh at aperture 2,8 by 17mm, but with such a focal length it is better to work at aperture 3,5, everything is super there ! but even at 2.8 times you don’t notice this

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

The selection criterion was an inexpensive fast aperture 2.8 lens - a replacement for the whale 18-55, preferably with a stub and a USM winder. I chose from this Sigma (2022 model) and Tamron (Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f / 2.8 XR Di II LD VC Aspherical (IF). Tamron disappeared after reading forums and reviews (a lot of marriage, build quality, problems with warranty repairs) I settled on a sigma, model of 2022, there are few tests and reviews, but those that are encouraging. Tamron and Sigma tests:

Pros
  • Happy with the lens! The focus is fast (no yaw), at F/5.6 the picture is sharp, F/2.8 is clear but without details, the bokeh is soft, there is a slight vignette, the stubcompes with a bang. Before that, I shot with a Canon 50mm F / 1.8, I'm sure it will now gather dust at home. Compared with Canon 50mm 1.8 fix: ? p=0
Cons
  • In the store, I clicked a target from my hands, looked - everything seems to be fine, I took it (I HURRY). I clicked at home, threw it on the computer - an easy back focus. Tomorrow I took it to the warranty for adjustment. Master completed in an hour. This is the only negative and that could have been avoided if I were more careful about buying. Tip - take a laptop with you to the store, the screen is not always clearly visible.

I like it, thank you for the quality product.

And so. I took this model to replace a similar tamron without a stub. I came across thiscompy with a pronounced back focus. if it were not for the 7d camera in which there is an adjustment, I would have thrown this lens to hell. Many people write that HSM is fast almost like USM garbage ! once again I wascomnvinced of the opposite. the tamron was faster, although it squealed. andcomped better with focusing in dark places. The picture is juicier and the bokeh is nicer at 50mm F2.8 on this sigma.

Pros
  • - aperture 2.8 -good build quality -stub -good bokeh for zoom -heavy - picture is good overall -sharp especially at f4
Cons
  • - front-back focus is very common on these models - the zoom ring rotates in the opposite direction, unlike other lenses, it is inconvenient for me - in dark places, the focus prowls and cannot find anything - at 17mm, terrible distortion -Chromatic aberrations at 2.8 but this is on all almost cheap zooms with such aperture

Performs its functions, nothing unusual.

The fact that this lens has acomuple of FLD elements does not reallycommpensate for barrel distortion - i. E. figures, facescomme out thicker than in life, the walls are crooked at the edges, etc. unlikecommpetitors: Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM . No minuses as such, comfortable to use.

Taken a picture with a Canon 60d. The moment I used an SLR camera that had a whale lens attached to it, I could immediately tell the difference. In general, I am satisfied, however I am considering of taking an Elka. Has some pros - a constant aperture across the full range of focal lengths (aperture 2.8) - for which I took - less expensive than equivalents - pretty crisp, quickly focuses, the first copy was missing front and back focus - hood for the lens is included Has certain drawbacks…

After doing a lot of research and reading through a variety of forums in search of a suitable replacement for the whale lens, I decided to purchase this Sigma. I bought the first copy without testing it first, then went home and started taking pictures, which showed that it had a strong front focus. I took it back to the store, bought a second copy, and discovered that the image quality was even worse than on a whale lens, in addition to having a strong front focus. Because nobody in Hong Kong…

Pros
  • aperture, superb stub, good constructive, and sharpness all come together in this phrase.
Cons
  • Sometimes the autofocus is off, and there are numerous lenses for Canon that have both front and back focus.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product did not disappoint, the quality pleases.

The item was purchased for an additional 24t. R, which is certainly not something he deserves, given that its price is 12-14. Now, without a doubt, I would go with the Sigma 30mm 1.4 lens. In general, the glass is not terrible but also not really good. The 2.8 hole works adequately between 17 and 25 millimeters, but when used with a lens of 50 millimeters, the focus frequently shifts to infinity, causing the photographer to miss some extremely essential images of the wedding. There is something

Pros
  • Aperture. Stabilizer. Now for the cost Because I have a 550D, I have used this glass to take in excess of tens of thousands of photographs (mainly weddings). After processing a successful outcome in lightroom, the client is pleased with the final product. But.
Cons
  • chromate? - yes! vignette? - Yes! misses? - Yes! Where should I put my focus? - Yes! soapy? - up to 4.0 in certain border areas of the frame, sure!

Acquired, desired by some evaluations, expensive, and having a low aperture ratio. Regretted. I am truly sorry! The lens is not even close to being in the correct position! The least reliable of all the relatives that are currently available (even very budget ones). When purchasing, the item was examined on the table. There was not a single problem. But it wasn't until then that I realized how autofocus can be off not only because of the distance to the target, but also because of the focal…

Pros
  • Affordable, robust and sturdy appearance, decently solid overall appearance (as it seemed at first)
Cons
  • Below

There is absolutely no product, do not buy it.

I decided to get this lens. I checked it out in the store to see how far back and how far front it went, and I found that everything was more or less where it should be, but it did move forward quite a bit. Distortion is difficult from 17mm to 35mm, and at 50mm we get a little pillow that is not particularly powerful. The vignette is striking when viewed at 17mm, but at 40mm it becomes practically undetectable. You can notice that the subject is limping horribly in bright images taken…

Pros
  • It has a more accurate shooting range than a whale 18-55. Excellent and quick autofocus. Seems solid. Embroidered hood and case are included.
Cons
  • Severe distorting of reality To a severe degree chromatic Soapy edges Vignette The stabilizer is not functioning properly. When the power is off, there is something hanging there that, when shaken, produces a noise within.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very high quality product, it's not the first time I bought it.

and as a bonus: I really like how it looks, and the hood in the kit is petal With its pros. I bought and use for videography purposes, mainly at weddings. In the arsenal of Canon 50 1.8, Canon 55-250 3.5-5.6. Before buying it, there were still 18-55 is for wide angle. During the wedding shooting day, I had to change all the presented lenses several times, because. so far I have one carcass 550D. When I bought the Sigma AF 17-50mm f / 2.8, I immediately sold the 18-55 . because. focal intersect…

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

I was afraid to take not kenon after reading and seeing enough tales on the net), I went to a photo store with the thought: I’ll take a look, twist it in my hands, test it - I wasn’t going to buy it, in the end I have it) and I don’t regret a bit. In comparison with the 18-55 whale, the sky and the earth were also compared with the 18-135 STM canon, both are much darker, especially at 50mm (more noise or shutter speed from here), the whales are also less sharp throughout the range, the edges…

Pros
  • 1. Light at all focal lengths (for zoom), hence fast focus in low light. 2. Sharp. 3. Durable. 4. Fast, quiet and accurate focus (I immediately tested it after reading reviews about front / back focus). 5. It is well assembled (compared to the tamron 17-50 2.8, which is very flimsy), the trunk is also blocked, although it does not seem to leave. 6. * working *, and not for show, a 4-stop stabilizer - you can take sharp pictures of static objects with a shutter speed of 1/2 - 1/5 s. 7. Pleasant bokeh. 8. Hood and case included. 9. 2 aspherical and 2 low-dispersion elements (for some reason, it is not indicated in the description on the market). 10. Price for quality. 11. Universal focal length 27 - 80mm (crop 1.6).
Cons
  • 1. Only crop. 2. Too heavy - a feature of the assembly and large lenses, on carcasses of the 100d / 1300d level, I think it will greatly outweigh. 3. During autofocus, you cannot manually adjust (even absolutely impossible, as it can disable the focusing system). 4. Expensive 77mm filters (I don't use them, so it's not critical for me). 5. Distortions at the very edge are not uniform on all sides - I have a little more lather on the right, again, only visible upon closer examination on a test target. 6. In the off state, something shakes inside, but the instructions describe that this is a normal operating condition and is not a marriage, but a design feature of the stabilizer. At first it was scary), the battery also drains much faster with the stub, kenon did not notice this with lenses, now I turn it on when necessary. 7. I would like large focal lengths at least 17-70mm)), but this would add weight / size / price / distortion.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

Used analogues: Tamron 17-50 2.8 without VC (on Nikon d90) Not an analogue, but there is also a Canon 50 1.8 (of course it sometimes smears. A very "wide-loose" focus range), but cheap and angry :) and 1.8. And another one that is not at all analogous is whale 18-55 3.5-. now it is covered with dust. For myself, I do not see the disadvantages of this lens at all. It is difficult to compare with the tamron, which I took on my Nikon D90, because. he got caught with a front focus and spoiled…

Pros
  • Duplicate my review with a photo. Strengths: Sharpness, working 2.8, 2.8 at all focal lengths, an excellent range of focal lengths for canon crop, the idea became clear that the carcass does not do the main work (I have 550D, it was taken for an excellent combination of photos / and excellent video in one inexpensive bottle) , and optics. The stub works just super, an extremely necessary thing for video, the picture, as if on a tripod (if the hands are not after yesterday . :)). For a photo, it often saves in room light from stirring, when ISO 800 is already the limit, because. 1600 by 550 is quite good, but I need to suppress color noise a little, I don’t like this business, but it’s not for me to carry a tripod, especially when traveling. The build quality is on top, everything is monolithic and "moderately tight" turns, nothing dangles. They immediately issued a lens in the store without any back and front focuses. The focus, by the way, is super, it clearly catches where you aim, I don’t remember smearing it. In general, a solid, high-quality lens.
Cons
  • Weaknesses: at 2.8 it lathers at the edges of the frame - not critical, just had to write something. the ideal is not achievable, but in the center everything is super. Otherwise - 5 points. They write here that the focal ring rotates when focusing is on . I don’t see anything wrong with that, and it’s even hard to imagine a situation that this could be inconvenient or it’s some kind of “weak link” .

Best price for this product, will buy more!

Aperture + stub = power! The lens allows you to shoot without a flash in conditions in which you would not have tried before. Previously, due to lack of money, I used a used Sigma AF 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG MACRO. When I got better with finances, I thought about buying a better lens and changing my Canon 1000D to 600D. When I purchased this lens, I realized that the old carcass would still live. Pleased with portraits taken at 50mm and a viewing angle of 17mm.

Pros
  • Aperture, stabilizer, minimum focal length, suitable for portraits. Ultrazoom, price.
Cons
  • IMHO, not suitable for macro.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

I took to replace the Sigma 17-70 2.8-4, which served me for 3.5 years and which I subsequently successfully sold on the Internet. Feelings - you switch to a technique of a really higher class. Firstly, the wide aperture is absolutely working, secondly, it shoots MUCH better against the sun, thirdly, the focus is much faster and more accurate, and fourthly, the picture itself is visually sharper and richer. And the fact that it is 20 millimeters shorter in zoom - so I have a telephoto lens…

Pros
  • Almost all

In general, the lens is worth the money invested. But when buying, you need to look very carefully and test. Instances "every other time": sometimes successful, sometimes with back focus or front focus (which is not a problem if you have a corrector with your carcass), not sharp. When buying a choice, they gave 3 copies, I chose a problem-free one. Lens adjustment, if that is a warranty case and is free of charge. Previously, there was a problem with the fact that the hood was attached "on…

Pros
  • Price (in relation to the dollar) Working 2.8 Build quality Convenient FR for crop (28-80) Stabilizer Contents of delivery
Cons
  • Terrible (visually) lens hood It’s not a fact that you buy a good lens, without bf and ff.

A wonderful product, its nice to use.

Consistently good picture quality. With appropriate camera settings and lighting, of course. Gorgeous photos outside during the day. did not disappoint for six months. With its pros. Cutting Solid (I shoot weddings on a canon 600d, with such a lens no one looks at the camera model) Softly blurs the background by 2.8 Cons: I'm going to switch to full frame, it's a pity that the lens will not fit. When shooting against the sun, sometimes I caught round glare, but this may be from a protective…
