After doing a lot of research and reading through a variety of forums in search of a suitable replacement for the whale lens, I decided to purchase this Sigma. I bought the first copy without testing it first, then went home and started taking pictures, which showed that it had a strong front focus. I took it back to the store, bought a second copy, and discovered that the image quality was even worse than on a whale lens, in addition to having a strong front focus. Because nobody in Hong Kong does the alignment, I was forced to send it back. I checked the Tamron 17-50, which also has a strong front focus and passed the test. I then took another copy of the Sigma and found that it focuses perfectly at 50 millimeters. My experience with this lens has been positive thus far. A touch of yellow, but everything should be fine as long as the bb is adjusted appropriately. The sharpness is simply superb when compared to the whale. Do not be too lazy to test, and if you are a beginner, do not trust the opinion of the seller; instead, it is preferable to call a knowledgeable person to come with you to help test the lens. Although this lens is worth the money, the most important thing to do is check the quality of the lens in the store. Finding a lens that is comparable to this one that costs this little money and has such a focal length is tough, if not impossible.
