Let's unleash the pros: - Large and durable case! It locks the tablet in place well and covers all sides so well I was confident my tablet would be protected when traveling! - Easy connection! Connecting and using is as easy as with any Bluetooth device. - Soft mouse! Despite Bluetooth, the trackpad mouse was very comfortable and easy to use. - Nice lighting! I love backlit keyboards simply because they add personality. For me, this is definitely a plus over the official keyboard! Now for the cons: - The keyboard is connected via Bluetooth and doesn't use the tablet connector pins at all. This causes two problems for me. -- The keyboard should charge independently of the tablet, which for me is another device to remember to charge. -- Since it needs to be charged, I would turn it off after use and then just forget to turn it on. So I actually rarely use it. - You're pretty stuck using your tablet in landscape mode. Due to the bulky body, there isn't an easy way to rotate the keyboard and body into portrait mode, making it difficult for some apps that use portrait mode to work. - NOT STANDING! That's the worst offender for me. To place the tablet, do I need to pull the keyboard forward so I can create a standing angle? Why? The official keyboard + case has a small kickstand on the back and that would be so easy to implement here! This way you don't have to constantly fiddle with the keyboard's position just to use the most basic functions of it and the case! In general, this is a very reliable and much cheaper option than the official one. If you're on a budget and just want to use your tablet as a laptop replacement, I highly recommend this! But I? I like using my tablet as a tablet, so I need something less bulky. I think it is and I just shouldn't be.
