Review on Fit System 80225 Replacement Backing by Fernando Marshall

I bought this mirror to replace one that has cracked out and broken. Initially I had a lot of trouble installing it myself (I don't usually work on my machine). I re-read the instructions and found that 1. the mounting posts in the car should go into the mirror housing first, not the back of the mirror panel 2. using a blow dryer should help. I'm not a very strong person and before using the hair dryer to heat the mounting pins I could NOT get them to snap into place. I was afraid that I would break the glass and break it on my fingers. I put in the brackets and tried the hair dryer out and it was in place in just a minute. Even if you don't know much about cars, using a hair dryer will help you install this mirror without paying 4 to 5 times the exorbitant retail price.
