it cleans really well and my thermos wasn't that clean. and glitters since I bought it late last year. However, the handle is not firmly attached to the sponge and today when I was cleaning my thermos, the handle fell off the sponge and now I can't get the sponge out of the thermos. Well, that's a fairly new thermos with a pink sponge inside. If anyone can tell me how to get a sponge I would be grateful. My pliers don't fit, my pliers don't fit; I tried to pierce the sponge with a knife, it didn't work. If you have one, definitely pay attention to how you take it out of a regular thermos. Lift the sponge so you can grab it and gently squeeze it out.
