One of the children's ice cream cones fell apart. We sprayed it with a hose, waited a few minutes for the sun to dry and that was it. Light airflow too. Our youngest always falls asleep there. So don't worry about overheating in sunny weather. Since ties are useless we mostly use them internally. Best used on carpeted floors or foam squares in a playroom. Otherwise you risk the children slipping and trying to get out of the doors. Or you can apply rows of hot glue to the bottom of the tent to stick it to a hard wood floor. The flaps are great for adults to play in tents. Remember that if you go all the way in, you will have a hard time getting back out.
