I did not use this lotion because it was constantly mentioned in the context of vachetta skin cleansing and care due to its long lasting almost black coating from years of use by the previous owner before I bought it as I have present for my mother. . This lotion works wonders. If you use it for this purpose, be aware that it was a long 3-4 day process that mr. clean. I had to work the leather first before gently rubbing it with a sponge and then work again and repeat the process until I was happy with the lightness. Also remember that between each operation there is a 24 hour drying time before repeating the cycle. This lotion saved the bag from tears and wrinkles and kept the bag as it was made in 2000. These bags are a great investment, I'm sure my mum will love them after I'm done with the restoration. This is why it took me so long to write a review as I was busy testing the product. PS: This product is not intended for use on new Vachetta leather, only on Vachetta that has become almost black and shiny over the years. Please do your research before ruining your pockets.
