The 200W Q3 flash is definitely enough for any studio situation. In the photo examples I have used it either alone or to illuminate/highlight my models in combination with its big brother, the Vision5 flash. Both are battery operated so I could take them outside when I needed to do a little overpowering to get rid of the harsh sunlight on the graduate's face and that helped too. I can either shoot straight into the umbrella or use a Bowens S mount which I can use with all of my compatible softboxes. Outdoors, I had to use high-speed sync to get the fast shutter speeds I needed to keep the background from blowing out at wide open apertures. for soft backgrounds. The included remote control can trigger 5 groups of compatible flashes, allowing me to find the perfect balance between my flashes right from my camera. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying 1 more to have a total of 3 compatible battery powered flashes, all HSS (high speed sync) and all fired from 1 remote to be ready for almost any flash setup I might need . even if there are no sockets.
