So far it seems to work as well as the previous brand, Bulk Supplements, in reducing FHV symptoms in my cat, but I like that it's a fine powder. Lysine Bulk Supplements, as well as the other top contenders I've looked at (and skimmed the reviews for this information), are more like little granules. They fall to the bottom of the bowl too easily and the cat may pull out leftover food to reduce the amount of lysine ingested. Fine powder still partially does this, but it sticks more than other brands, especially when you roll pellets in it. I can't feed wet food so that's the only option I have. And I didn't want to try putting it in water - staying hydrated is SO important for cats and if it ever changed the taste or texture of the water I know she would drink less. Not worth the risk. This has held her back for now, despite taking two immunosuppressants. Hope this helps; I will update if not.
