Review on Simplehuman BT1035 Fold Away Squeegee by Sean Ceo

I've been using it in the shower for three years now, but now it's failing fast. There are two of us, so shower twice a day. I changed the blade twice but should have done it more often. (I bought replacement blades from Home Depot and trimmed them, added slots for socket head screws (metric 2).) Everything worked fine until the hinge started to fail. The large knob failed after about 2.5 years, although we haven't folded the handle in over a year. Now the handle just wobbles. I tried tightening the opposite hex screw (2.5 metric) but it doesn't tighten enough to make a difference and now doesn't really hold the bezel on that side. For the price of a basic scraper, I expected it to last more or less forever. It may be better to buy a model with an interchangeable blade but without swivel joints.
