These are super soft beautiful gold leather slippers that will stay in your 'grandson' memory box :-) I got the first pair from a good children's boutique and size 6 fits perfectly for my fat legged little toddler's first Easter. They later passed on to their younger sister, who had opposite legs, thin and long. Now they are both enrolled in their first ballet class and I was looking for ballet shoes to fit my five year old. I knew that regular slippers would be a problem for her because she has very wide feet with a high instep, she needs New Balance sneakers and she cannot wear football boots, so special shoes for sport will always be a problem. On a whim I searched Amazon for gold flats and lo and behold they had the exact same shoes as the boutique! I ordered size 9 and they fit with some room to grow. Ideal! They have actual ballet pants so they're good for practice as long as they're not worn outside. Check with your teacher first, as some schools have strict regulations about what students are allowed to wear. Her teacher said she's never seen gold shoes before and the girls are thrilled they both have them!
