Bought a thermometer 'at sea' when the pandemic got serious. Twice as expensive as this one. It was constantly at least 5 degrees. The quality was so bad that the seller told me to throw it away instead of returning it. We have been using Tenergy batteries for many years without any problems. I thought they wouldn't put their name on a piece of junk. As it turned out, they didn't. This is an accurate thermometer.
