I run AirBnB and one of the most important things is that people don't get hurt easily. So a lamp with a closed fan is a great idea - no fins! I've been looking for one for a long time, found this one and ordered it. At first I was surprised at how easy the installation was. The remote control is built-in and all you need to do is connect three wires (plus, minus and ground), install the base and plug in the lamp. It worked like a charm. The fan is relatively strong and the air circulation is quite good. The light has three hue levels (bluish, whitish, yellowish) and all three can be dimmed at will. All in all a really great solution. There are two main disadvantages: Firstly, it is not clear what will happen when the remote control disappears. There's no way to buy a new one, and without a remote the fan just won't turn on. Also, the remote control is incredibly confusing. The buttons that turn on the fan and backlight aren't labeled meaningfully, and most of the remote is dedicated to color, dimming, fan speed, and so on. I ended up having to label the buttons that turn the light on and off. and I hope that at some point the manufacturer will also choose a more comfortable design.
