(Updated) Wow this thing is cheap

(UPDATE) About a month after I bought it it broke. If I had been actively using it for more than a year I would understand, but no. I've left my phone on it maybe 30 times and it seemed to work fine. Until my sun visor touched it and broke the plastic arm. Serious? I'm not joking. I took my sun visor off and it hit the plastic arm holding the magnet and it snapped like a twig at the base (base = plastic sheet that fits in the CD player). I hope I received a defective unit, I hope they've updated their materials -- but from my experience I wouldn't recommend buying it. Yes, the magnet is strong and installation is incredibly easy - I could probably crash my car and the phone won't detach from the magnet. BUT - maybe the base can only break from a snowflake sitting on it. It was really good for a month when it lasted, really good. But if you ever hope to use the sun visor or accidentally clean it in transit, look forward to buying another phone mount. (ALT) I bought these because my car often jumps over landmines, over sheets of glass, and through puddles with ducks in them. My problem has always been cheap cradles that don't do the job. Like Joey from Full House, I'd had enough and had to cut it out. So I stumbled across this gem and decided to watch and read some video reviews. The installation was completed in 3 seconds, saving me the trouble of calling my friends abroad and waking them up from their sweet dreams of the upcoming Olympics. Function - I feel like I could crash my car into a wall without the phone going off. Unless I pull hard, the Note 3 (Verizon) doesn't fall. It helps when I dodge ducks. They are there. AND YOU KNOW ME.
