It comes with a washable and reusable foam filter. When I bought this RV one of the clips (pictured above) holding this grille was broken. It's easy to install. I'm 67 years old, female and made it myself. While installation is easy, I find it very difficult to remove to wash or replace the foam filter or clean the grille. The clips are made of hard plastic, you don't want to break them. First I tried to push the clip from the back but the clip tab wouldn't go up. Now, from the front, I use pliers to pull the body of the clip forward and down, which relieves pressure on the tongue and allows it to rise. Foam filters are easy to clean, then wrap in a towel to remove excess water and leave outside for a few minutes to dry completely. Although the grille stays in place with just one clip, I only gave it 4 stars for durability as you have to be very careful not to break it when removing this grille.
