PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU NEED THIS ADAPTER BEFORE PURCHASING. There are two types of adapters: active and passive. This item is passive. I ended up having to send it back. We tried to connect my grandmother's old keyboard to her new computer. The keyboard still had the old round connector. While the PC only had USB ports. We thought we just needed to change the shape of the connector. We were wrong. This item did nothing after connection. My husband did a little research and realized his mistake. We needed an active adapter. We bought a USB 1.1 to PS/2 converter from TRENDnet, TU-PS2, plugged it in between the keyboard and PC, and it works!
